The youth centre provides a place for young people to get together and play different games, cook or simply hang out. Young people also get to express their own hopes and ideas about the things they wish to do. There are always youth workers present to offer help and guidance.
The youth centre is located in the newly opened Maunula House cooperating closely with Maunula library and the Adult Education Centre of Helsinki.
To participate in our activities, you need a valid Jässäri membership card. Collect the membership card application form at the youth centre or print it here. The membership card is free and entitles you to make use of all the youth centres, other Youth Department facilities and events in Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo and Kauniainen.
We organise meaningful, substance-free and versatile activities for young people visiting the youth centre. At the youth centre, young people are able to participate in the decision-making process, and we encourage young people towards active participation.
We take into consideration the different backgrounds and cultural differences young people in our area have and provide guidance in all stages of development. Feel free to contact us by calling, writing or coming by! Once a month, the youth centre is open on a Saturday from 18 to 22.45.
